StratMa International proposes Contract-Manufacturing in Mexico, the fast and riskless solution for local content

Mexico gains increasing importance in the automotive industry becoming 3rd largest automotive manufacturing country worldwide with a production volume of 5 million vehicles per year forecasted for 2020.
Companies like BMW, Daimler, Ford and Toyota currently invest in their production sites in the Bajio region in Mexico. Audi inaugurated its new site in San José de Chiapa in September 2016.
All vehicle manufacturers ask for local content of about 60% rising in the coming years to up to 80%. This has an impact on the entire value chain. Over the past years many suppliers opened their own facilities in Mexico. However, not all suppliers would like to invest in Mexico, especially not in these uncertain times following elections in the US, whereas Tier 1s also need local presence of their supply chain in order to reply to high localization rates.

StratMa International’s Partner in Mexico

For suppliers, who would not like to invest in Mexico in order to avoid a long process of localization (construction of site, search of qualified personnel, certifications, etc.) or who would like to outsource part of their local production, contract-manufacturing is an interesting solution.

StratMa International’s Mexican partner, located in the booming region of Bajio (includes the states of Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Jalisco), provides contract-manufacturing services in the following areas:

  • High precision CNC machining
  • Mechanical assembly
  • PCB Assembly
  • Process design optimization to increase productivity

Through its Supply Chain Management solutions, our partner can also ensure the whole value chain including local purchasing, just-in-time delivery to customers, and consignment stocks. Processes are supported by an SAP System and linked through SupplyOn to customers.

The company is ISO TS16949 and ISO 9001 certified.

For further information concerning our Mexican contract-manufacturing partner please contact us. We would be happy to discuss with you the option of contract-manufacturing in Mexico.
